Neslihan Keser Özcan, RN, PhD, is Associate Professor of Mental Health Nursing at Istanbul University, Faculty of Health Science, Department of Midwifery
She received her bachelor degree in nursing at Istanbul University, Florence Nightingale School of Nursing in Istanbul and holds Master’s and PhD degree in Psychiatric Nursing at the same university.
Her PhD thesis is associated with problematic internet use. She has provided guidance numerious research and thesis related with problematic internet use in Turkey. She gives conferences on how the use of technology affects youth.
The main issues are related to the area of problematic internet use, mental health of women, violence and professional containment methods in psychiatric wards.
Dr. Özcan was a board member of Turkish Psychiatric Nursing Association from 2011 to 2013 and she is currently Editorial Board of Journal of Turkish Psychiatric Nursing, .
